Belgium beat Germany 6-3 in the last match of the Amsterdam leg to finish the stage on top of the table with eight points from four games. Netherlands are in the second spot with six points, while Germany are third with four points.

Belgium forward Tom Boon, who was awarded as the Player of the Match in the clash with Germany, is the current top-scorer with eight goals. We could, however see a new leader once the Argentina stage begins as Belgium will not be competing there.

Hosts Argentina will be joined by England and Ireland as the three nations play each other twice in a round-robin format. This will be the last we will see of the Pro League this year, and the caravan will then shift to the much-awaited Hockey India League, which starts on December 28.

The nine-team FIH Pro League will resume next year in Sydney in February, followed by legs in Argentina and Bhubaneswar (India) in the same month. The 2024-25 season will conclude on June 29 with matches in Antwerp, Belgium and Berlin, Germany.

The winners of the league will receive a direct ticket to the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup which will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium, while the team finishing last will be replaced by the winners of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup in the next season.
