Invited to bat, Thailand struggled to navigate the Indian spin attack as their innings folded in 15.1 overs. All-rounder Sneh Rana (3/9) led the India bowlers with a three-wicket haul. Spinners Rajeshwari Gayakwad (2/8) and Deepti Sharma (2/10) picked up two wickets each.

Medium pacer Meghna Singh (1/6) accounted for one batter. Baring Nannapat Koncharoenkai (12), none of the Thailand batters could reach double figures as wickets fell in regular intervals. In fact, Nannapat and Natthakan Chantham's (6) 13-run opening stand was their highest.

In reply, last match hero, Shafali Verma, was the only Indian wicket to fall as S Meghana (20 not out) and Pooja Vastrakar (12 not out) saw the team home with 14 overs to spare. At present, Thailand are placed fourth with six points from as many games. Bangladesh are fifth with four points from five games.

Bangladesh play their final round-robin game against United Arab Emirates on Tuesday and if they manage to win by a healthy margin, the hosts would pip Thailand for the final semis spot on net run-rate. Thailand are having ?0.949 NRR compared to Bangladesh’s 0.423. ?????????
