The National Cricket Academy in Lahore will host the Pakistan Super League Player Draft 2024. As many as 254 foreign players have reportedly registered, including Afghanistan's Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and South Africa's Tabraiz Shamsi
The pick order for the player draft was formalized in November, with Quetta Gladiators set to make the first pick of the draft. The selection order for the first round of the Platinum category was determined by the inverse order of the previous season’s standings. This means that Karachi Kings will make the second pick, followed by Islamabad United, then Peshawar Zalmi, then Multan Sultans and finally the Lahore Qalandars.?

Media reports suggest that as many as 254 foreign players have registered for PSL 9, which is a new record for the league. Among other notable names, South Africa left-arm spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, Afghanistan off-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman and wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz have signed up for the draft.
The process of local player category renewals was completed on 10 November, with categories upgraded for nine players. The registration window for foreign players was opened on 25 October. The trade and retention window is currently open.?
