The 32-year-old Ding won the opening game, while the 18-year-old Gukesh claimed victory in the third game. The second, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth games all ended in draws.
In Game 10, a three-fold repetition led to a draw by move 36, around two and a half hours into the match.
The scores stay tied at 5-5, keeping Gukesh and Ding neck and neck. The London System from Game 6 made a comeback, but Gukesh's solid defense neutralized every variation, maintaining a controlled position.
