New Zealand Cricket announced their 15-member team for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup on Monday with a sweet video message featuring the family members of the players.?

The one-minute 38-second video consists of wives, children and parents of the players. They state the player’s ODI jersey number and name, prefixed by “my husband”, “our daddy”, “my son”, or as the case may be.

The video is winning hearts around the world. This unique and wholesome idea of the BLACKCAPS social media is also being appreciated. ?"Whoever came up with this idea, so well done," commented a user on social media platform X.

James Neesham was introduced by his grandmother. In the case of Will Young, it was his mother. And in Rachin Ravindra's case, the whole family, their dog included, featured in the video.?

New Zealand Cricket announced a strong 15-member squad on Monday for the ODI World Cup 2023. Kane Williamson, making his fourth World Cup appearance (counting ODI and T20), will lead the Blackcaps.?

Williamson’s ACL tear, which he suffered during IPL 2023, has healed. 2023 IPL. Williamson will be making his fourth participation in a World Cup. He will count on the experience of the seasoned Tim Southee in tough situations. Indian-origin spinner Ish Sodhi will also be one of the key players as he brings variety to the bowling attack.?

Earlier, New Zealand coach Gary Stead had said that there was a possibility Williamson might just sit out the first few games at the World Cup, which begins in India on October 5. "There's a chance that even if Kane was named he may not be available right at the start of the tournament. But he also might be, and he also might not be ready," Stead had said.?

But for now, Williamson seems fit to play from the start. The wishes of the family will only help.
