A recent sustainability achievement includes Carrier’s Gurgaon manufacturing facility receiving Platinum certification by the Indian Green Building Council. The Platinum certification for an older factory is an example of how we are investing in our factories and operations, optimizing existing methods and innovating new digitally enabled lifecycle solutions to reduce energy and water consumption. Carrier’s 33-yer old manufacturing facility in Gurgaon is home to a dedicated team committed to achieving world-class performance in all environment, health and safety (EH&S) metrics and initiatives.?

Carrier’s regional Mumbai, Maharashtra office holds the Indian Green Building Council’s (IGBC) Green Interiors Platinum Certification, another example of Carrier’s commitment to sustainability and governance. Ethics and compliance is a core value for Carrier globally and for Carrier India as well. We recognize employees who demonstrate ethical behavior and identify them as “Ethics Ambassadors,” setting an example for other team members.??

The wellbeing and safety of our employees and customers are paramount. In an extraordinary milestone, Carrier India has achieved 33 million hours since 2007 without any injuries leading to lost workdays. For the last 15 years, the Mumbai office has conducted weekly EH&S talks.?

United for Air is another remarkable initiative, designed to educate and bring the communities of Gurugram together to work for cleaner outdoor air. Through United for Air, we are driving communities to take action, while increasing awareness that particulate matter (PM) levels of 2.5 and PM10 are the major contributors to air pollution in Gurugram. The goal is to provide meaningful information to the public about the effects of high PM levels on health. The United for Air program supports Carrier’s 2030 ESG goals of positively impacting communities through continued investments in initiatives that promote sustainability through education, partnerships and climate resiliency programs.?
