The IEC vans, equipped for direct interaction with the public, will disseminate information about various schemes, such as housing, drinking water, and financial inclusion.
Jharkhand will witness the flagging off of 19 vans, with the Prime Minister launching 5 to 7 of them in Khunti, covering 226 gram panchayats in nine districts. The vans, numbering around 2800 nationwide, will engage in a two-month-long effort to enroll potential beneficiaries, particularly in tribal areas across 21 states.
The vans will make strategic stops, allowing for two to three hours at specific locations to ensure the effective communication of central government scheme benefits. This collaborative effort between central and state governments will incorporate regional language movies in the vans to attract people, with an accompanying app to track public reactions.
