With the winter session of the parliament underway, chaos continued in Rajya Sabha after the opposition filed a no-confidence motion against Vice President and RS chairman Jagdeep Dhankar.
Meanwhile in the Lok Sabha, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi met with speaker Om Birla and urged him to expunge derogatory comments against the Congress leader.

The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day as the ruckus regarding the no-trust motion against VP Dhankar and the George Soros-Congress allegations.
Union Parliamentary Affairs minister Kirean Rijiju slammed the opposition for filing a no-trust motion against the Vice President. "You have no right to be members if you can’t respect the Chair. We have taken an oath to protect the sovereignty of the country," stated Rijiju.
Congress leader and the leader of Oppoositon Rahul Gandhi met with Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla and urged him to expunge the deregatory remarks made towards him.
“I held a meeting with the Speaker. I told him that derogatory comments against me should be expunged. The Speaker said that he would look into it...Our aim is that the House must run and discussion should happen in the House. No matter what they say about me, we want to have a debate on 13th December...They don't want a discussion on Adani. In the end, we will not leave this. They will keep levelling allegations on us but the House must function,” Rahul Gandhi told reporters.
As the opposition continues its protests regarding the impeachment of RS Chairman and VP Dhankar, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi has alleged that the government is not allowing the Lok Sabha to function.
"Either the government does not want to run the House or they are not capable of running the House. Our protest is from 10:30 to 11 and then we go inside the House for work but work is not happening,” said Priyanka Gandhi in response to the Rajya Sabha being adjourned.
TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee has slammed the BJP and INDIA bloc ally Congress over the chaos during the parliament winter session. "The House is adjourned because of the Congress and the BJP. The House will continue only on the choice of the Congress and the BJP... This is not proper,” said Banerjee. The TMC MP's remarks come amid a rift between INDIA bloc allies regarding the leadership of the alliance.
As chaos over the no-trust motion continues, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge called the Vice President the "biggest government spokesperson" and blamed the Rajya Sabha chairman as the "reason behind the disruptions" in the house.
The winter Session of Parliament commenced on November 25 and will conclude on December 20.
