Owing to a technical snag, a?Ranchi-bound IndiGo flight made return?to Delhi airport within an hour after its take-off on Saturday.
IndiGo Airlines: Ranchi-bound Flight Returns To Delhi Due To Technical Glitch, 2nd Case In 24 Hours
As per media reports, the Ranchi-bound IndiGo flight departed from Delhi airport at around 7.40 am and returned at 8.20 am. The IndiGo crew informed the passengers that another aircraft was being arranged for the said operation but it would take some time.
Accordig to one of the passengers onboard,"The pilot announced that there was a technical snag in the plane, so we are going back to Delhi airport. We felt vibration on-board during the flight."
As per media reports, the IndiGo flight departed from Delhi airport at around 7.40 am and returned at 8.20 am.
"IndiGo flight 6E 2172 operating from Delhi to Ranchi returned to Delhi today as a precaution due to a momentary technical caution," the airline company said.
The IndiGo crew informed the passengers that another aircraft was being arranged for the said operation but it would take some time.
Friday incident
This was the second incident reported iwthin a span of 24 hours where an IndiGo flight returned?to the airport due to a technical snag.
A similar incident has been reported on Friday as well when another Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at the Patna airport after one of its engines became inoperative.
Accoridng to an official, the aircraft with 181 passengers and eight crew members on board made the landing shortly after taking off from the Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport, an official told news agency PTI.
“The aircraft returned to its origin due to a technical issue. Three minutes after its departure, the pilot reported one engine inoperative. The aircraft landed safely at 9.11 am. As per the pilot, no further assistance was required. All operations are normal here," the airport official said.
The passengers were accommodated on another flight later.
