India Will Be Developed Nation By 2047, In List Of Top 3 Economies In Future: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said India will be in top three economies of world in near future.

He said for long India was seen as country of one billion hungry stomachs, now it is one billion aspirational minds, two billion skilled hands.

In his interview to PTI, PM Modi said: “Indians today have great chance to lay foundation for growth that will be remembered for next thousand years.”

He said India will be in top three economies of the world in near future.

He cited the country's record of jumping five spots in less than decade.

PM Modi also expressed delight over G20 summit in India.

“Many positive impacts from India's G20 Presidency, some are very close to my heart,” he said.

He added: “GDP-centric view of the world is now changing to human-centric one in which India is playing role of a catalyst.”

He also said “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” can also be guiding principle for welfare of world.

“In G20, our words and vision are seen by world as roadmap for future and not merely ideas,” he said.

He also said India will be a developed nation by 2047.

“Corruption, casteism and communalism will have no place in our national life,” he said.

He also dismissed objections of Pakistan and China on G20 meets in Jammu and Kashmir, and Arunachal Pradesh.

“It is natural to hold meets in every part of country,”he said.

Over the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, PM Modi also said dialogue and diplomacy is only way to resolve different conflicts in different regions.?

He also said global cooperation is needed in fighting cyber crimes.?

“Cyberspace has introduced an entirely new dimension to battle against illicit financial activities and terrorism,” he said.

He added: “Cyber threats must be taken very seriously; cyber terrorism, online radicalisation, money laundering just tip of iceberg.”

He said: terrorists are using darknet, metaverse, cryptocurrency to fulfil nefarious aims; can have implications for social fabric of nations.

“Fake news and deep fakes can cause chaos and loss of credibility of news sources, can be used to fuel social unrest,” he said.

He said need is to achieve a comprehensive international convention on countering use of ICTs for criminal purposes.
