Bollywood actor Kajol recently commented on Indian politicians having no educational system background or a viewpoint that has triggered many. One of them is Shiv Sena (Uddhav Bala Thackeray) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi who took to Twitter to respond to Kajol's comment.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi took to Twitter to speak about Kajol's comment on the educational background of the politicians. Chaturvedi said, "So Kajol says we are governed by leaders who are uneducated and have no vision." She added, "Nobody outraging since its her opinion not necessarily a fact and also has named nobody but all Bhakts are outraged."
Referring to supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party supporters who are often called 'bhakts', Chaturvedi claimed?that it's them who are outraged.
Further Chaturvedi added?a suggestion for Kajol, she said, "Please don’t Yale your Entire Political Science knowledge."
Kajol's controversial comment
During a recent interview to promote her upcoming film, Kajol talked about women empowerment in India and continued to say, "Change especially in a country like India is slow. It is very very slow. Because we are steeped in our traditions and steeped in our thought processes and, of course, it has to do with education.”
Kajol also added, "You have political leaders who do not have an educational system background. I'm sorry but I'm going to go out and say that. I'm being ruled by leaders, so many of them, who do not have that viewpoint, which I think education does give you, at least the chance to look out for a different viewpoint."
According to reports, the Bollywood actor later clarified that she did not want to demean any politician but rather tried to make a point about the importance of education in society. She reportedly said, "we have some great leaders who are guiding the country on the right path."
