Amid heavy rain in the national capital, a boundary wall collapsed on Sunday that killed a 32-year-old parking attendant and injured a 'paan' shop owner.
According to a report by PTI, the?police received?information about the collapse of a boundary wall at Mathura Road in Sundar Nagar on? Sunday.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) Rajesh Deo reportedly said, "Our team reached the spot, hired a priate JCB excavator machine and started to remove the debris of the wall. Two people were rescued in an injured condition and sent to hospital."
Among the two was Rakesh Kumar Mishra(32). a resident of Purnia district in Bihar and?Ashok Chand Misra (50), a resident of Mithapur. Mishra was declared brought dead by hospital authorities while Misra is currently undergoing treatment.
The DCP informed that a?case under sections 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC has been registered and an investigation of the case is in progress.?
Rakesh Kumar Mishra was working as a parking attendant in MCD parking, reportedly while Ashok runs a paan shop.?
