The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has swiftly responded by lodging a strong protest, reaffirming India's unwavering stance on the matter and asserting its right to suitably respond to such actions.
During a media briefing, External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi revealed that India had already lodged a "strong protest" with China in response to the stapled visas issued to some Indian citizens who were set to represent the country in an international sporting event hosted by China.
Bagchi underlined India's longstanding and unwavering stance that there should be no discrimination or differential treatment based on domicile or ethnicity in the visa regime for Indian citizens holding valid Indian passports.
