Bengaluru police on Tuesday discovered dead body of a woman?inside a drum dumped near the main gate of Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) railway station.

Previous cases in last four months
Since December last year, two more similar cases have been reported in Bengaluru.?
In the second week of December last year, the corpse of an unidentified woman was found in a yellow sack on a coach of a passenger train at SMVT station. The incident came to light after a passenger?complained of a foul smell emanating from the gunny sack, which was dumped with other luggage.
Again on January 4, railway police came across a siilar incident where the decomposing body of a young woman was discovered from?a blue plastic drum abandoned at the end of platform number 1 at the Yeshwanthpur railway station.
According to police,?said the body was bought from Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh and dumped at the railway station.
The police are investigating the matter but refused to say whether all three incidents are related.
