Russian President Vladimir Putin was found lying on his bedroom floor, alongside an overturned table with food and drinks, the reports said.

According to media reports citing a Telegram channel ‘General SVR’ - the Russian leader's security officers found him lying on his bedroom floor at around 9 pm.

“Probably, when the president fell, he hit the table and dishes and knocked them onto the floor, which caused the noise. Putin convulsively arched while lying on the floor, rolling his eyes. The doctors who were on duty at the residence and located in one of the adjacent rooms were immediately called," the channel's statement read.

It also alleged that the Russian President was immediately moved to a specially equipped room in his residence where doctors performed resuscitation on him before taking him to a special intensive care facility located within his official residence.

“Help was provided on time, the heart was started and Putin regained consciousness,” the channel reportedly claimed.

While the claims of Putin's worsened health were not confirmed by the Kremlin, reports suggest that it has alarmed the President's inner circle.

The channel - which cannot be verified - also claimed that all the recent appearances by Putin have been carried out by a body double.

“Recently, all official meetings and events have been conducted by the president’s double. After news of the evening incident, several people close to Putin contacted each other by telephone and agreed to hold consultations on Monday regarding possible actions if the president dies in the coming days," it said.

Ever since the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine last year, there have been several reports of Putin's worsening health - be it cancer, or Parkinson's disease. However, the Kremlin has repeatedly said that the Russian leader is in “good health”.
