Through Bhamla Foundation, Meraj Husain, empowered by Bhamla Foundation, has enabled Bhamla Foundation to joining hands with the United Nations environment program and? with the theme Beat Plastic Pollution, curated an anthem Tik Tik Plastic with renowned singers and celebrities of our nation. This initiative was recognised and lauded by our Hon PM Narendra Modi and ?unveiled by him as well. The anthem went on to became a cult song to ban single use plastic. This initiative paved way for the State of Maharashtra to become the first state of india to completely ban ?single use plastic. Supported by ?the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, ?these initiatives enabled spark many initiatives ?with government as well as ?hoteliers ?and various industrialists to implement the ban of single use plastic.
As for Meraj Husain, the battle to beat plastic still continues.
