The Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival kickstarted on October 27 at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. It will continue till November 5. The opening ceremony was a star-studded affair as it was attended by the who's who of Bollywood and television industries. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Kamal Haasan, Rajkummar Rao, Saif Ali Khan, and Aditi Rao Hydari among others graced the event.

The opening ceremony of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival was a star-studded affair. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Kamal Haasan, and Saif Ali Khan among others graced the event.
Priyanka Chopra who is the Chairperson of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival looked elegant in a?white gown with golden stripes, and a matching cape. She also posted pics on her Instagram handle with the caption, “Opening night (red heart and namste emojis). Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival @mumbaifilmfestival.”
Kareena Kapoor looked gorgeous as always as she wore?a black gown with pink sleeves and a plunging neckline. She completed her look with a pair of heels. For the makeup, she opted for?nude makeup and?tied her hair into a bun. She accessorized her look with pink earrings.
Sonam Kapoor was in a?black structured outfit. She completed her look with bold red lips?and pearl accessories. She tied her hair in a bun.
Saif Ali Khan posed with?Karisma Kapoor on the red carpet. They twinned in?white traditional outfits. Karisma donned a white and black saree, while Saif was in a white kurta-pyjama with a white Nehru jacket.?

Talking about MAMI, the opening film for this year's edition was Hansal Mehta's detective drama 'The Buckingham Murders', starring Kareena Kapoor. Also, Anurag Kashyap's crime thriller 'Kennedy', starring Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat, and Aparna Sen's 'The Rapist', starring Konkona Sensharma and Arjun Rampal among others will be screened.?
