The first trailer for 28 Years Later was unveiled yesterday. It featured a recording of Rudyard Kipling's 1903 poem Boots, recited by American actor Taylor Holmes, which is scary by itself.

28 Years Later will hit the screens on June 20, 2025. It is directed by Danny Boyle.
28 Years Later is the third instalment of the franchise with Danny Boyle and Alex Garland returning as director and writer.
For the unversed, 28 Days Later came out in 2002 and 28 Weeks Later was released in 2007.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes are the newcomers in the third instalment and are seen fighting off zombies in the trailer. The original movie starred Cillian Murphy and it is reported that he would be reprising his role as Jim. However, his name is not mentioned in the cast or on any promotional material.
The trailer of 28 Years Later featured a brief clip of a zombie which fans are speculating to be of the Oscar-winning actor as they find a resemblance to Murphy.

The official synopsis of 28 Years Later reads: It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.”
The film also stars Erin Kellyman and Jack O’Connell. Apart from Boyle and Garland, Andrew MacDonald and Peter Rice are also the producers of 28 Years Later. It is produced by Columbia Pictures in association with BFI, DNA Films, and Decibel Films.
28 Years Later is set to release on June 20, 2025.
