South Africa recorded their record fourth Rugby World Cup title by beating the All Blacks 11-12 and retain their crown in a helter-skelter final in Paris. The Springboks seemed to have the match in control that saw them going 9-3 ahead. NZ's Same Cane received a red card but the a man short, the All Blacks rallied to put themselves back into the game but saw them eventually lose a close encounter 12-11 to South Africa. This World Cup title means that South Africa have won half of the eight tournaments that they have been part of.
