Men's Coxed Eight Team - Silver (September 24)
The men's coxed eight team comprising Neeraj, Naresh Kalwaniya, Neetish Kumar, Charanjeet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Bheem Singh, Punit Kumar, Ashish, Uttam Pande won silver to notch up India's third rowing medal of the day.

The current contingent will do well to take a leaf out of former Indian Asiad champions' book. Legends like PT Usha, Leander Paes and Jaspal Rana have covered themselves in glory at the continental event with their rich medal hauls.

Yesteryear sprinter Usha is the most successful Indian athlete in the event’s history, with 11 glittering medals to her name – four gold and seven silver. Indian tennis legend Paes, with a record five gold, has the most gold medals by an Indian at the Asiad. He has eight medals in all from the event, including three silver. Former ace shooter Rana is tied with Paes in the number of Asian Games medals. Rana bagged four gold, two silver and as many bronze to end up with eight medals at the multi-sport event.?
