Bennett scored a run-a-ball 49, Myers made 32, while Musekiwa remained unbeaten on 16 to take Zimbabwe through in the last ball of the 20th over.
Earlier on, opting to bat first, the decision did not pay dividends for Afghanistan as openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sediqullah Atal were dismissed cheaply for 0 and 3, respectively.
Ngarava was the pick of the bowlers, with his 3-28 in four overs.
Hazratullah Zazai managed to score 20, while the main recovery came from Karim Janat (54) and Mohammad Nabi (44*).
However, it was not sufficient for them to take through as the hosts Zimbabwe clinched victory in Harare.
