The 17th edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy started on November 23 with 32 teams in the fray. After 127 games, 10 teams remain in contention.

The top-ranked teams (5) and the best second-placed outfit (1) directly qualified for the quarter-finals. The other four second-placed teams will feature in the pre-quarters with the winners of those fixtures completing the last-eight line-up.

3. Madhya Pradesh - Group A winners (24 points, NRR +1.533)

5. Vidarbha - Group D winners (18 points, NRR +1.839)

6. Saurashtra - Group B runners-up (24 points, NRR +2.257)

7. Bengal - Group A runners-up (24 points, NRR +1.607)

8. Andhra - Group E runner-up (20 points, NRR +2.527)

9. Uttar Pradesh - Group C runners-up (20 points, NRR +1.942)

10. Chandigarh - Group D runners-up (16 points, NRR +0.224)

Teams 1 to 5 qualified as the group winners, irrespective of the points earned or NNR accumulated. Saurashtra, 5th in the ranking, are the best second-placed side (from Group B); while teams 7 to 10 are the other four group runners-up.
